Although I have found the use of FLOW mindfulness to be a very reliable way to combat depression and other mental health issues, I have spent many years meditating in a variety of different ways.
Meditation is a great tool and if you already meditate or practice Yoga I would highly recommend taking this meditation teaching course. The knowledge I gained from this has definitely helped my own meditation practices, and also allowed me to introduce it to others.

Yes, However it can depend on the way you meditate. FLOW state uses awareness of a particular activity or goal of your choosing as a focus. Some mediation practices only focus on breathing and some on only empty mind, trust me i've practiced both over many years.
The secret to this way of meditating is something I only discovered when I turned 40 years old and have studied and practiced ever since.
I use the same meditation skills I had before but now in a far more dynamic way since taking the online course.
